One of these is an ask for help; I had 7 ash trees taken down and am making firewood while weather allows. The other is an invitation to community, ritual, prayer – on the ancient holiday of Halloween.

Sunday, October 25, firewood cutting and splitting with big machines. Come any time after 10 am. Letting me know is good. We’ll have chain saws and a splitting machine. Hoping for a bunch of people, willing to pay (consider whether you know farm kids who are good with stuff like that.)  There will be food. Try to let me know. Other skills are welcome, and there will likely be a batch of kids.

Saturday, October 31: 4 pm to dark: potluck, bonfire, and ceremony of loving-kindness (metta) meditation for ourselves, others, and the world. Indoors or out depending on weather, but definitely the we’ll gather around a fire for ceremony. (Think of group prayer if you’d rather.)  Family friendly.

Call or email Shodo with questions and to let me know. (507-384-8541)

Also – don’t forget to vote. It’s not everything, but it’s a start. This is a time of opportunity.
