Land Care Retreat  Friday evening October 26 to Sunday afternoon October 28, 2018

SPIRITUAL PRACTICE WITH THE NATURAL WORLD

Please join us for a weekend of meditation and ceremony with the natural world. We will work with human relationship to wilderness and gardens, studying compost and regeneration, learning offering.

Arrival 5-7 Friday evening; a light meal is offered and orientation begins at 7 indoors. You may camp or sleep indoors. Commuting is possible but not encouraged. Please plan to attend all group events.

  • sitting and walking meditation (indoors and outdoors), periods of silence
  • teachings on meditation, nature meditation, and working with beings of nature
  • intimate meeting with beings of earth and water, through gardening and land care
  • meals, camping/simple lodging/commuting, community discussions, private interviews

NEXT LAND RETREATS: May 24-26 and September 27-29, 2019

Deposit: $20/day. Suggested donation: $40/day ($100 total) includes donation for teacher.

Host/guide: Shodo Spring, Zen teacher, founder of Mountains and Waters Alliance.

Limited to 10 participants. Please register by October 19th.

Location: about an hour south of Minneapolis, in a beautiful natural setting of farm and wilderness, meadows, bluffs, and woods, by the Cannon River.

Details: 7 pm Friday through noon Sunday; simple accommodations or primitive tenting; shared community work. 3 meals per day; most diets can be accommodated. Scent-free, smoke-free.

Registration:

Priority is given to those who can commit for the whole weekend in residence.

  • (for example: here you should tell us if you have any food concerns, allergies or chemical sensitivities, or any physical limitations)
  • Please let us know how you are arriving and if you need or are able to offer a carpool. Please also let us know what your plans are for staying overnight (if applicable) (eg: do you ned a bed, are you camping etc..)
